Christmas Is In The Bag! Nov 23rd 2017, 18:00, by noreply@blogger.com (Tim Knight) Ho! Ho! Ho! I don't want to come across as smug, but by my reckoning - with a few final clicks of the mouse this morning - I think I've done all the Christmas gift buying I needed to do this year... in record time. I always like to get it done early - for fear of missing out on items I have my heart set on to give people - but I'm pretty certain November 23 is a new record, even for me! The reasoning behind this is that I'm looking to give my credit card - and therefore my bank account - a rest from its usual constant battering come the New Year. It's finally, really, starting to hit home how perilous my finances are (and the ongoing economic shitshow brought on by the Brexit debacle in this country certainly isn't helping)  and that I need to start saving some money instead of just spending it. However, as a reward to myself for my organisational skills, I have ensured that my direct debit subscription to the Doctor Who Magazine (2015's Christmas gift to myself) is continuing for another year. I'm not surrendering all my luxuries, just yet!
